We actually were not in the ER for very long....they sent us to the pediatric dentist because there wasn't much a regular doctor could do for us.
Last Tuesday (the puddle pictures were taken close to 2 hours before this happened) I was putting the boys down for their nap and somehow Jackson tripped and smacked his face on the edge of his bed. He was messing around and moving pretty fast so the impact was definitely not soft. His front 2 teeth and one on the right side of those took the blow, followed by his right cheek. I saw him hit and knew instantly that it wasn't good - I am sick every time I think about it. SO, he was bleeding and hysterically screaming and I had no idea what to do with him - ER or dentist?? We ended up at the dentist. They were great. We were in with the dentist right away and she was very sweet - as sweet as could be as she popped and moved his teeth back into place. Yeah, it wasn't a pleasant sight or sound! They took an xray and the left front tooth, root and all, was diagonal across his other teeth, completely out of the socket, barely in there. The other two are very out of place and extremely loose but they have a better chance of staying in place than the other one. She kept saying, "oh, this is bad, this is very bad, there's just no way else to say it" - great.
We go back to see her in 2 weeks. At this point we don't know what the outcome will be - he may lose all 3 teeth, he may just lose the one. No solids for 2 weeks and no sippy's or straws or anything hard in his mouth - challenging. He can eat soft food as long as it's cut up really small and he eats with his molars - also very challenging! We tried to take pictures of how swollen he got but it's hard to see. His lip was about 5 times the normal size - it pushed his nose up like a little piggy! :) The inside of his lip, gums and roof of his mouth were black from the bruise - we did get a picture of that but haven't decided if we should post that, it's kind of gross!
He is a trooper though. He will look so funny with the 3 front teeth gone - I'm not really looking forward to that but I guess it could be worse!

Jackson's trip to Junction

Jobe took Jackson to Junction for a two day "get-away". I wasn't completely thrilled to have them go but they had a ton of fun! Jackson caught a fish with his "wittle guy fishing pole" and threw lots of rocks into the river and rode the 4-wheeler and played with "emlilly". It was definitely a bonding trip for them that Jackson will talk about for a long time!

Grayson's big trip to the airport
I took Grayson to the airport to see Geah while Jackson was in Junction. At first he was shy but then quickly warmed up to all the attention! He wore his captain hat like a champ - he loves that hat!
We took a ride in the train and saw tons of airplanes. He even got to sit in the cockpit of the plane mom was flying! How exciting!
"ooh!"
