Ashton and Jackson were enthralled with the flamingos and the seagulls - Jobe encouraged them to do their own rendition of "mine, mine, mine, mine,...." from Nemo. They jumped and jumped screaming, "mine, mine, mine"

Jackson's favorite part this time was the fresh-water otter. He chased that thing back and forth in the tank - pretty funny

As the afternoon passed the boys were exhausted!

I don't know what anyone else thinks but it looks like Jackson was born with a natural talent for cross country skiing! What GREAT form!!! :)

A few big moments have happened recently in Grayson's life. He can now play patty-cake and wave bye-bye!! This picture shows the patty-cake sequence performed by Grayson himself. The first four pics (from left to right) are obviously the clapping. The next four are him trying to "roll it" but I think his hands get a little stuck. The last is him very pleased. The whole time he is "performing" he is making the sounds that kind of match up with the words of patty cake. It is really hilarious. Now he claps his hands all the time and looks for anyone to play patty cake with!

This is Grayson saying "bye-bye". Another big milestone! The doctor told us that he is the first baby at nine months, that he's seen, who's been able to wave bye-bye!! What a genius!!! :)

One of Jackson's favorite things to do is chase the flies. We really don't have any flies right now but he "shus" them anyway. He walks around and says, "shu, shu" and waves the fly swatter around not missing any flies! So, here he is getting the flies! In the bottom left picture he is pausing to say, "oh WOW" and of course to get some attention!

Lately, during Jackson's "room time", all he wants to do is lay on his floor under his blanket, with his dogggie, blankie, and pillow and read books. He will stay there for at least a half hour just reading books and singing along to Miss Pattcake! It's pretty funny.

I was playing with the collage feature in Picasa and thought I would show how our meal-times are.
I was talking with Sandy yesterday and telling her how frustrated I can get with Grayson because he is so crazy when he eats. He gets antsy and I can't feed him fast enough. He spits it out, he rubs it in his hair, he rubs his eyes, and nothing can make me more frustrated than when he hits the spoon with his hands and the food goes flying or gets on his clothes.

He was saying something very serious! Lately his favorite thing to say is, "daddy toot?" - only, for some reason he's been saying his t's as p's so it's, "daddy toop?, daddy toop?"

The other day Jackson wanted to snuggle under the covers on the bed. It doesn't happen that often because our bed is mostly off limits but I'll take a snuggle any day! He got in and under the covers and pretended like he was sleeping - snores and all! It's hilarious. We have a Tumble-time Tigger and he snores...

Time for some new "shoes"? (He calls his pjs with feet shoes - pretty funny!)

A cute shot of Grayson asleep. Jobe actually layed him in his crib just like you see and when he went back in to check he hadn't moved.

I bundled Grayson up last Saturday and took him outside in the oh-so-cold weather because he had a croup-like cough and supposedly the cold air really helps to break up the congestion. I think it was a couple degrees below 30 and the cold air helped a ton!

So...the other morning Jackson was quietly playing in his room (which is mostly normal) and I happened to walk by and peek on him. What I saw was his floor covered in Baby Magic lotion! I think you can see some of the "spots" in this picture. His face tells it all though - very proud of his work! There was lotion everywhere. On the elephant, by his blanket, behind his left leg, and by his cd player. I have to say, it was pretty funny but I put the lotion on the top shelf!

I tried to take some "Valentine" pictures of the boys today but it didn't go so well. It's hard to get them together for even a second because neither of them will sit still for very long. And then add in that Jobe was at work and I have the camera in my face. Grayson kept falling off the seat and Jackson wanted to play with the "spoon" - So.....this is the best picture I have with them together, sitting side-by-side. It's always an adventure!
Happy Valentines Day to all our friends and family - we love you all.

Jackson wanted to wear a hat like Grayson so he found the cowboy hat. I think Jackson's head has grown a little since we first took pictures with him in it!

Jackson went to the "Little Gym" last Saturday with his friend Ashton. The kids do some group exercises and then get to play on all of the gymnastic equiptment. Jackson's favorite was the balance beam. He wanted to do it over and over again. It took him a bit to feel comfortable but by the end of the hour I couldn't get him to leave!

When I walked into the room to find Grayson, he was like this! He wasn't crying or unhappy at all - he was just playing very contently! I guess he really wanted those toys!

Lately, when Jackson has had blanket time he plays this game with himself. He takes huge breaths and then blows spit, with the help of his tongue, into the sunlight. He stands there and watches the spit in the light. I know it sounds really gross but it is hilarious! He does it over and over and over. I caught him in action!

Last weekend we went to Houston because Jobe had work to do at the campus and to spend some time with our great friends Scott, Stephanie and Tucker. Tucker and Jackson had a great time playing with Coco, playing in the tub, hanging out and trying to stay away from Grayson. Poor Grayson just wanted to be one of the guys - he can definitely hold his own though! This is a cute picture of the boys wearing the same pjs!

It's starting to get a little wild in the Lewis home. Grayson is on the move and wants to play with everything that Jackson has. Forget baby toys. He wants the big-boy ones. Jackson wants Grayson to be with him during his blanket time but if Grayson wants to drink his water, well, watch out! Since the weather's been so warm we play outside a lot with Jackson's friend Ashton. They ride their "bikes" in the culdesak and take turns banging into one another. Jackson is definitely turning into a little boy!
